Beswick - 5 Hummingbird Wall Plaques. Model Number 1023. Damaged
This is a collection of 5 rare Hummingbird wall plaques which were designed by Arthur Gredington and were produced from 1944 - 1967. They are unboxed.
The collection comprises.
1 - Large. Height 14.6 cm. Beak and both wing tips have been restored.
2 - Medium. Height 12.7 cm. Beak, left wing tip and chip on tail have been restored.
3 - Small. Height 12.1 cm. Beak and chip on tail have been restored.
In my opinion the restorations on 1, 2 and 3 are reasonably good but not quite up to professional standards. They would certainly look good if displayed as a full set of 3 on a wall.
4 - Medium. Part of beak missing, otherwise good.
5 - Small. Part of beak missing, left wing broken in 2 places and re-attached. Left side of tail broken and re-attached. Small chip on tail.
I am selling birds 4 and 5 as restoration projects. Unfortunately I don't have the missing beak parts.
Please read the description of the damage carefully before you decide to bid. It is very difficult to see the faults in the pictures, so I have tried as accurately as possible to describe the repairs.
Postage.
I will only send this item to a U.K. address.
The carriage cost given is for mainland U.K. delivery. If you are located offshore or in a remote area (as defined by carriers) please email me for a carriage cost before biding.
The item(s) will be packed in a strong inner box which will be fitted in to an outer box with soft packing between. This is rather costly but I feel that good packaging is in the interests of both parties, I will not compromise on it.
The parcel will be sent by next working day delivery and will need to be signed for. Please note: I will need a contact telephone number for you in order to book the carrier.
Carriers will not insure china goods against damage in transit, but will insure against loss. If you require loss insurance, I will arrange this, but it will be an extra cost, based on the actual selling price.
