Boxford Lathe Back Gear Main Spindle Pinion
This is the 38T gear that is fitted to the mainshaft pulley with two dowel pins. It is undamaged and appears to have had little if any use. This is the gear that is often damaged or badly worn so check your machine.
IMPORTANT:
This gear has a 20 degree pressure angle tooth form and so it is suitable for MK 2 machines (with backgear engagement lever on top of the headstock) and later models, but check your machine before bidding.
It will not run with the early 14 1/2 degree P.A backgear.
