Antique 8-Day Grandfather Clock ca.1790
This 8-day clock is by John Garrot of Warrington who is listed as working ca 1770-1795.
The case is oak and stands almost 90" high without the ball and eagle ornament.
It has been in my possession for around 40 years and was still in working order when I stored it away about 15 years ago. Although it could be used as it is, this clock would also make an ideal project for a keen amateur restorer as there is scope for improvement to the case, the movement could probably do with a clean and the 14" square dial, although previously restored, would benefit from some extra work.
The clock is located near Gatwick Airport and must be collected.
