Dividing Head Accessory for Machine Tool
I don't know much about this piece of kit but I have been told it was an accessory for a Swiss-made jig borer or precision milling machine. It seems to turn ok and is fitted with a most unusual 3-jaw chuck marked "Reishauer". There are also 5 collets which are operated by a draw-bar (all Imperial, 5/32, 3/16, 9/32, 9/16 5/8).
I can see one area of damage where a piece of material has been broken off - you can see this quite clearly in the photographs and it doesn't seem to affect the working in any way.
I am sure that if you do not have the correct machine that this item was originally intended for it could be adapted to mount directly on any other machine table.
The diameter of the chuck is 115mm and the division plate is 124mm. Contact me if you would like any other dimensions.
This item is quite heavy so it must be collected either from the Gatwick Airport or Mid-Sussex areas. I may be able to deliver it to some parts of Surrey or Sussex but contact me first before bidding.
