Antique Model Boat
A very interesting clockwork model boat. This is the "Greyhound IV" made by A.J.Holladay & co. Ltd of London. I have included a reproduction of the advert for these models which appeared in Meccano Magazine, I believe in 1929. I will include scanned copies of this and two other pre-war adverts with the sale.
The clockwork motor is still in working order but I do not have the key. Also missing are some deck fittings that you can see in the advert and the propeller. There is no major damage to the hull but the finish is rather dull and faded and paint is flaking off.
I will pack this model in a very strong cardboard box but because of its weight and size I can only send it by Standard Parcels service. This is for UK delivery only as to send it abroad would be prohibitively expensive.
