Norton Inter Shock Absorbing Engine Sprocket
This lot comprises the hub, sliding cam sleeve, spring and 3 sprockets (19T, 21T, 22T). The 19T and 22T sprockets have seen very little use.
The hub and sliding cam sleeve are very worn - look carefully at the picture. I would only use these as patterns or on a museum bike, but a skilled welder and machinist might be able to reclaim them for actual use.
This type of drive was only used on very early Inters and CS1s which had a Sturmey Archer clutch (1930 - 1933). With the introduction of the shock absorbing Norton clutch there was no longer a need for this type of engine sprocket.
