Unusual Bowden Motorcycle Carburettor
The choke diameter is 15/16" and it fits 1 1/8" diameter stub. It is in "as found" condition and as I am not familiar with these, I have not stripped it to examine the internal parts. The bell-mouth has been cut away, probably to clear another part of the machine but apart from this, I can see no other damage.
Bowden carburettors were fitted from new on a number of machines (such as A.J.W.) but they were also sold as "after-market" replacements, with claims of better performance and improved fuel consumption.
