Old wooden chess set
Full set of pieces in an old and unusual style. Tallest pieces are 4 1/8" (10.5cm) high. "White" pieces look as if they are made of box-wood but I couldn't guess what the black ones are.
Some slight damage, one the white knights has been glued back together but is not quite straight and a few pieces have bowed slightly with age. Probably the worst point is that one of the black pawns is slightly shorter than the others, although it is exactly similar in style and finish to the others. (extreme right hand one in photograph)
Complete in an old wooden box (pine I think) with a sliding lid.
Please note that there is no board with this set.
